Nice under-water effect! About the colors, you might want to play around with some tonal variation. For example, the plant.... don't just use a darker version of the same green or black for the shadows. Try adding a subtle touch of red. Experiment with warmer / cooler variations of a tone. very nice, I like the color theme and the soft look. One way you could pull off the water without detail work is using a faked index of refraction sounds complicated but it's not, all you do is shift the portion of the figure that's in the water over a little toward the left or right (your choice) and shorten(squash) it. Sort of like looking at a straw in a glass of water.
